As if Disney wasn't making billions with Marvel and Star Wars, both of the newly acquired properties, it looks like it may eventually want to expand into a dedicated channel for each. That's right, a channel that shows nothing but Marvel shows and another that has strictly Star Wars content. Is that even possible?
Well, according to Daily Finance, the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger stated this very possibility.
"We have said that with these channels and these brands — ESPN, ABC, Disney, maybe even down the road something related to Star Wars and Marvel — we do have an ability as a company to take product, specifically filmed entertainment, television, movies, directly to consumers."
Given the crazy push that's going toward Marvel and Star Wars movies and shows, it wouldn't be too surprising to see Disney make a bigger push for dedicated channels.
