As technology increases every day the odds of something leaking to the public is more higher. In 2014, some scenes from Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens were shot from a drone over Pinewood studios, the video which you can watch above, shows off some leaked footage of the Millenium Falcon and X-Wing fighter jets.
Disney is looking to limit the amount of paparazzi by using a 'drone army' to intercept advanced warning of helicopters and drones commonly used by paparazzi and media. In addition to the drones, local website,
Mos Croatia, also states that Disney is recruiting 600 guards to make sure no one gets through on the ground level.
Two years ago
Motherboard reported that Pinewood Studio ordered a protective drone service in the name of
DroneShield. However, the order did not go through because the export application was not approved in America.
Recent reports don't indicate the use of the same company, but just the fact that Disney will be enforcing drone protection.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been
breaking records across the globe since its 2015 winter release and fans will be looking forward to the next addition to the franchise's latest trilogy. The release date for Episode 8 is December 15th, 2017, however, the official name for the movie is still yet to be confirmed.
