Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two developers discuss ‘The Power of Storytelling’

Disney Interactive unveiled a new behind-the-scenes look into the making of Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, the sequel to 2010's Wii-exclusive Epic Mickey.

The new video introduces us to the game's talented team of creators and writers who are responsible for crafting the deep narrative and engaging story that is found in Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Throughout the video you'll hear from writing consultant Marv Wolfman, senior designer Brian Freyermuth, and creative director Warren Spector as they discuss the challenges of bringing Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2 to life and the power of storytelling. In the video they emphasize the idea that "PlayStyle Matters" – a gameplay concept that allows players to complete challenges they way they want in order to explore a variety of possibilities and storylines, but not without consequences for their actions.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two sees the return of Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with over 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. Mickey, with his magical paintbrush, must work together with Oswald, who wields a powerful remote control that commands electricity, as they encounter the challenges found in Wasteland.

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is set to release on November 18, 2012 in the U.S. for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. It will launch in the UK on November 23, 2012.
