At this point, it's safe to say Disney's Epic Mickey Two: The Power of Two was a bust. Mediocre reviews and lackluster sales ultimately spelled doom for developer Junction Point, but not everyone is ready to throw in the towel. Sony has announced The Power of Two will be released on the PlayStation Vita later this year.
Sony has said the Vita's touchscreen and tilt control functionality lends itself quite nicely to the game's paint and thinner mechanic, but as I mentioned in my review, the problem with the game wasn't necessarily its controls; its dull story and bland presentation led to a rather unimpressive experience. To help with the AI problem, Sony will be adding a two-player wi-fi co-op mode exclusive to the PlayStation Vita, so hopefully you won't have to put up with Oswald's lack of intelligence.
As of right now, the arrival of The Power of Two on Vita has only been announced on the European PlayStation blog. Although, I imagine it's only a matter of time before the U.S. PS Blog is updated to reflect today's announcement.
