When the first Disney Infinity game came out, me and Senior Editor Lance Liebl set off to the nearest Toys 'R Us to stock up on the buy one get one sale for Power Discs. Upon getting to our car, we of course immediately started unpacking them, only to find out that over half of them contained doubles and sometimes triples of the ones we already had.
Fast forward to Disney Infinity 2.0, the review unit we were sent came with three blind bags. Turns out, all three of those blind bags had the same exact Power Discs. Not even Disney could foresee that and prevent it. Needless to say, the randomness of it all made me a bit apprehensive of buying them any more. After all, I wasn't really a Toy Box player anyway so I wasn't getting much use out of them. On the opposite side of the spectrum, certain Power Discs were going for insane prices on sites like Ebay. Things are changing with Disney Infinity 3.0, and certainly for the better.
Blind Bags are a thing of the past, and now Power Discs will come in themed packs of four, never resulting in randoms, and never containing doubles. For $9.99, you're guaranteed to get the exact Power Discs you want, since you're clearly able to see them through the packaging.
Kotaku got a screenshot of what the Tomorrowland Packaging will look like for Power Discs, and you can check that out below.
Will this make you want to buy these packs more?
