Disney Infinity coming to phones and tablets with the Toy Box app and Action! app

Disney Infinity, which launches on the 18th, will also have a presence on Apple App Store, Google Play and Windows Store. The two mobile apps that Disney Interactive unveiled today are Disney Infinity: Toy Box and Disney Infinity: Action!.

Available on the iPad in the coming weeks, Disney Infinity: Toy Box app allows players to build and edit their Toy Box worlds for the game on their iPad. You can transfer any Toy Box creation between the iPad and console, allowing you to pick up right where you left off. And when you're done on the iPad, you can sync your Toy Box creation back to the console game, allowing you to unlock more props, characters and decorations. While this is only on the iPad, it is compatible with each console version of the game.

There are 60 free items to build your Toy Box creations, and you'll be able to play with Mr. Incredible for free. If you want to use other characters, you can use web codes included with the toys at retail, or you can make in-app purchases to use characters like Lightning McQueen, Mater, Dash, Barbosa… you name it!

The other app is Disney Infinity: Action! — a movie maker that lets players become storytellers. Available on iTunes and in the Windows Store on August 15 (and later coming to the Google Play Store), Players create their own movies starring alongside Disney Infinity characters like Sulley, Jack Sparrow and Mr. Incredible. There are over 30 unique animations — like sword fighting with Jack Sparrow — and props to use in your videos from famous Disney movies. When you're done, you can share your movie on Facebook, YouTube or through email.
