Disney Infinity is off to a "strong start," according to a spokesperson from publisher Disney Interactive Studios.
The game, which is similar to Activision's toys-to-life property Skylanders, launched last month and sold 294,000 starter pack units in the first two weeks of U.S. release.
"We're very pleased with the launch in both the U.S. and globally and believe Disney Infinity is well-positioned for the critical holiday sales season," a representative told GI.biz.
Disney has spent more than $100 million on the game's development. The title placed third on August's retail sales charts for the U.S., according to the NPD Group.
The multiplatform game is due out for PC next month and iPad later this year.
