What's Disney Interactive up to now? It's hard to say, really, but if the snazzy lenticular card the company sent out is any indication, it would appear that this is some serious business. Serious business indeed.
According to Disney Interactive, Disney Infinity is a "new gaming initiative." What that entails remains to be seen, but that will soon change as details will be unveiled on January 15, 2013.
It's very possible that this could all be related to the recent Toy Box project which was slightly detailed in a New York Times piece. That title was described as "a console game with extensive mobile and online applications in which various Pixar and Disney characters will interact with one another for the first time."
Is this Infinity business related to Toy Box? It's certainly possible. We'll find out for sure next month.
