Disney is considering a live-action film of The Little Mermaid

Disney is considering to make yet another live-action adaptation from one of their most classic films — The Little Mermaid.
According to Deadline, the executives at Disney have been thoroughly looking into this idea for a while now, it's now at the stage of whether they want to proceed with it or not. In addition, sources have told Deadline that initial discussions have taken place with major producers.
The live-action bug has been caught over at Disney as yet another animated classic film is looking for an adaptation with real people. Earlier this week, we got our very first look into another live-action Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast.
The teaser trailer is pretty scarce in showing its characters, but there is a classic melody fans of the film will notice and some familiar voices in the back as well our first look at Emma Watson as Belle. Despite its vaguely barren trailer, it went on to receive 92 million views within its first 24 hours, beating out both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Captain America: Civil War.
It will be interesting to see if Disney plans to move forward with it or not, but until then, let us know in the comments below if you would like to see a Little Mermaid live-action film!
