Disney ‘talking about’ new Indiana Jones movie

Lucasfilm President suggests new Indiana Jones film is on the horizon

Earlier this year, we heard talks of Disney wanting to reboot Indiana Jones, with possibly Chris Pratt in the role of the fedora-donning archaeologist/professor. Admittedly, I don't know how much truth there was to that particular rumor, but in speaking with Vanity Fair, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy did at least reveal that a new Indiana Jones film is something the company is looking into.

According to Kennedy, another Indiana Jones movie "will one day be made inside this company." How soon that will be remains a mystery, even to Kennedy.

"When it will happen, I'm not quite sure," she said. "We haven't started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it."

About two month's ago, rumors of Steven Spielberg wanting to direct the film began to surface. Spielberg directed the first four Indiana Jones films starring Harrison Ford, and it just so happens that Kennedy served as executive producer on all of Spielberg's projects from 1982 to 2012.

Right now Disney seems all-in on Star Wars, but that doesn't mean a Indiana Jones film is out of the question.
