Divinity: Original Sin 2 shows off split-screen co-op, confirms controller support on PC

Divinity: Original Sin 2 continues to march towards its full release, and the game's latest Kickstarter video from developer Larian Studios and the always friendly face of Swen Vincke shows off the game's long awaited split-screen co-op in action. On top of that, the developers also announced that Skill Crafting would make its way into the game, for some added customization.

Here's the Kickstarter video:

The co-op mode allows two players to play on a single PC simultaneously, and just to make things easier, the game is getting full controller support which (although they aren't saying) would seem to point to a console version coming at some point. Even better, two more players can join a single session from another PC, giving Divinity: Original Sin 2 four player co-op. Sweet deal.

Another notable piece of news is the inclusion of Skill Crafting, which allows players to take two spell books in their inventory, and combine them together to produce a unique spell. The only requirement is that there must be at least one elemental book and one non-elemental book. So the example they use with Water and Necromancy combines together to create a really awesome Blood Rain ability.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 comes out of Early Access on September 14th, 2017.
