Divinity: Original Sin 2 to feature full voice acting for all 1,000+ characters in the game

That's about 74,000 lines of dialogue.

As Divinity: Original Sin 2 nears its launch date, Larian Studios has prepared yet another Kickstarter update (#42) this time focusing on the audio side of things. After initially saying that the game would not get full voice acting, it seems as though Larian has somehow finagled the task into their budget and development pipeline as Divinity: Original Sin 2 will have a full roster of voice actors that have recorded over 1 million words of dialog.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 already features voice acting for the game's origin stories, which are comprised of several industry veterans. The talent includes Harry Hadden Paton (Divinity: Dragon Commander, Dragon Age: Inquisition), Alix Wilton Regan (Divinity: Dragon Commander, Divinity: Original Sin, Mass Effect 3, the Dragon Age series, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide), and Alec Newman (Dragon Age II, Killzone 3, The Witcher 2 and 3, Assassin's Creed series, Warhammer 40,000 series).

Outside of the main origin story characters, Divinity: Original Sin 2 also features over 1,200 NPC's that will be voiced by 80 different actors. It's worth noting that you won't be able to meet and hear each character in a single playthrough, so if you want to see it all, doing so will require "many playthroughs."

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available now on Steam Early Access, but it releases in full on September 14, 2017.
