Another Activision developer in the news today is FreeStyleGames, the team behind the DJ Hero series. Though the studio has reportedly had a number of layoffs, it has yet to close down. The developer told Eurogamer, “We’re actively working with Activision on various options going forward for the studio. No decisions have been taken at this stage.”
Activision has already closed down 7 Studios, which worked with FreeStyleGames during the DJ Hero and DJ Hero II development. It is still unknown what other cutbacks Activision will take as they go forward with their plans, and whether or not FreeStyleGames will suffer the same fate as 7 Studios.
