DmC: Devil May Cry, Ninja Theory's reboot of Capcom's longstanding series, is coming to Xbox One and PS4. Releasing for the new consoles as the DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition, it will include all previously released downloadable content, including "Vergil's Downfall" campaign as well as brand new modes and additional gameplay features — running at 1080p, 60 frames per second.
New to the Definitive Edition, you'll be able to play as Dante's twin brother in Vergil's Bloody Palace Mode. For those looking for more of a challenge, there's the Gods Must Die difficulty level and Must Style Mode as well as Hardcore Mode, which has been designed to play "more like the classic Devil May Cry series." And lastly, Dante and Vergil will both have new costumes inspired by their classic character designs.
Ninja Theory has even taken your feedback into account, implementing a number of improvements and balancing tweaks, including modifiers that can be turned on at various stages, additional leaderboards, trophies and achievements, and social features that take advantage of the PS4 and Xbox One functionality.
DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition will be available as a digital download or at retailers across Europe and North America starting on March 17, 2015. It'll be priced at $39.99. Capcom also announced today plans to bring Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition to PS4 and Xbox One in Summer 2015, but details on that will have to wait for a later date.
