Doctor Strange has been destroying it at the box office and in reviews thanks to its great humor and introduction of magic. The film also features an excellent score by Michael Giacchino. Marvel was so pleased with his work they've decided to bring him on for another highly anticipated movie!
Giacchino confirmed via Twitter that he will be taking on the task of scoring Spider-Man: Homecoming. This will probably be one of the hardest scores to compose for the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Spider-Man has a rich history of music. The Sam Rami trilogy featured an iconic theme that played before every movie began and during epic moments throughout the film. There was a variety of other great songs for the trilogy that were created for specific characters like Venom, Sandman, Doc Ock, and more. Many Spider-Man fans still remember Danny Elfman's music very fondly.

The Amazing Spider-Man series also featured very recognizable music composed by Hans Zimmer. Zimmer also teamed up with artists like Junkie XL and Pharrell.
Although it's a massive undertaking, Giacchino seems to have it in him to create great music as Disney is also trusting him to compose the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It'll be interesting to see what his musical take on the character is when the film releases on July 7th, 2017.
