Doctor Strange end credits scenes revealed

Can anyone say sequel?

There are two credits scene in Marvel's Doctor Strange according to reports from those who have seen it in the U.K. already. Fans in the U.K. are privileged to a one week early release over those of us in the U.S., and it seems that details on both of the credits scenes have been leaked.

Now the first mid-credit scene focuses on the character Jonathan Pangborn, the man who provided hope to Doctor Strange that the Ancient One could heal him. During the scene, he's shown as a parapalegic man who sought out the Ancient One's help in order to heal his own ailment. He did not complete his training, however, and refused to learn any more after he had been healed.

The final end credtis scene tells a bit of a different story and sets up the proverbial sequel. Karl Mordo returns to seek out Pangborn after turning against the teachings of the Ancient One. He has discovered that she actually draws her powers from the dark dimension, the very place she and her teachings are supposed to fight. Mordo then attacks Pangborn, thus eliminating his magical energy.

Those who know about Doctor Strange will know that Mordo is Baron Mordo, his main nemesis from the comic strip. He's basically the Lex Luthor of the Doctor Strange World. Introducing Baron Mordo and the dark dimension, which just so happens to be where Dormammu is from, sets up Doctor Strange 2 perfectly. There of course is nothing available on a date for the sequel, but it would have to come after the Captain Marvel standalone film late in 2019 at the earliest.
