Doctor Who joins LEGO Dimensions

BBC's legendary character "The Doctor" will be joining the LEGO Dimensions video game, alongside Batman, Homer Simpson, Gandalf and others.

Doctor Who's very own Peter Capaldi will be the voice of the Doctor during the video game but check this – for supreme autheticity – whenever the Doctor dies in the game, he will regenerate. Also, his Tardis will regenerate accordingly. In today's trailer debuting at San Diego Comic-Con 2015, we get our first look at Doctor Who gameplay. Worlds collide in ways only possible in LEGO Dimensions, such as the TARDIS popping up in Gotham City and Hill Valley, the Doctor battling alongside Homer Simpson in Aperture Science, riding a haunted mine car with Scooby and Shaggy, or fighting alongside Kai and Cragger in a Ninjago battle arena.

LEGO Dimensions is set for release on September 29th this year, which will include three levels of Doctor Who content. But, other Doctor Who downloadable content will be made available to purchase from November, including new characters, new levels and more.

Another niche feature that LEGO have included in this game is the ablity to buy real-life LEGO toys, scan them in and unlock more content in-game.
