Domo: The Journey digitalizes those cute collectible toys for mobile devices

Soon you can play with your favorite Domo toys on your iOS device.

The Los Angeles-based Horse Feathers and independent Shanghai-based developer/publisher Playlithium (Super Ball Escape, King of Frogs) have announced Domo: The Journey, coming to the App Store in February for iPod and iPhone. It's a side-scrolling platform adventure game where you play as the Japanese mascot Domo-Kun, who sets out to rescue his best friend Tashanna from the nefarious Hungry Bear.

Players will explore five different zones and 25 levels. The Journey also uses "precise D-pad controls." I don't know about you, but I never find onscreen D-pads in mobile games to be all that precise, so here's hoping we see an improvement.
