Developer Klei Entertainment is bringing Don’t Starve and its DLC to Xbox One this month.
Don’t Starve: Giant Edition cobbles together the original game and its Reign of Giants expansion pack, adding new characters and hazards to the world of survival. The game will come to Xbox One on Wednesday, August 26. It will go for $14.99.
An Xbox One release for Don’t Starve was first teased in June 2015 with a German games board’s abrupt rating for the title. The news came on the heels of Don’t Starve’s Wii U release on May 28, which lent credence to the then-unconfirmed rumor.
A new expansion for Don’t Starve was also recently revealed. Don’t Starve: Shipwrecked takes the series’ gothic survival formula to the deep blue, introducing oceanic challenges and biomes. Shipwrecked will come to PC, Mac and Linux this fall. A console version has yet to be confirmed but remains likely, if only as a matter-of-time notion.
