Don't Starve: Reign of Giants, the latest expansion for Klei Entertainment's survival rogue-like, will be released on PlayStation 4 next week, the developer announced. It'll be available on July 22 in North America and July 23 in Europe for $4.99 on PSN. PlayStation Plus members will get a 10 percent discount at launch.
Reign of Giants, which was released for PC back in May, adds two new playable characters: Wigfrid, a stage actress who went a bit too far with method acting on her latest role, and ancient Valkyrie, or Webber, a young boy who lives inside the spider who tried to eat him long ago. Other additions include new biomes filled with new creatures, like Giants, and gatherables that will either help you survive or kill you. And lastly, the expansion adds a new save slot because Klei Entertainment is listening to your demands.
Arriving alongside the new expansion will be a free patch for hte base game which includes performance enhancements, bug fixes, and some content that was previously available on PC only.
