Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D is being rebuilt for the 3DS

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, the 2D platformer released for the Nintendo Wii, will soon be playable on the go. Wrapping up today's Nintendo Direct presentation, the company announced that Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will be available in summer 2013 for the 3DS.

Other than a few early screens, not much else was said of the game. Though Nintendo did phrase it as "being rebuilt for the 3DS." Whether or not that meaks new content being added remains to be seen.
