DontNod’s Vampyr is looking truly bloody in new screen shots

DontNod released three new screen shots today of Vampyr, its RPG set in London during the Spanish Flu. Dr. Jonathan Reid, our protagonist, becomes afflicted by a mutated version of it which is forcing people into becoming vampires. A doctor, Reid must do battle with his own inner demons in killing others but also survive at the same time long enough to find a cure.

Combat is going to be free form and allows players to shape the game based on their own choices. Killing innocent people to survive will give you more power and XP, but it will also create panic within the community. Residents and people will become more aware, and therefore make it more difficult for Dr. Reid to survive. As you progress, you can equip new abilities, better skills and shape the game however you want, even avoiding combat totally if you're not strong enough.

No release date has been set yet, but Vampyr will release on Xbox One and PS4 in 2017
