DOOM Snapmap will let you create your own game modes

Not content with simply showing us trailers for both the singleplayer and multiplayer modes for DOOM, Bethesda unveiled a brand new feature that'll sure to thrill fans of the first-person shooter game.

Introducing DOOM Snapmap, a "custom designed built-in gateway to an endless stream of DOOM gameplay experience."

At it's core, DOOM Snapmap allows fans to create their own custom gameplay experiences within the game. "It's about players never running out of fun, imaginative gameplay," Bethesda said of the new feature.

Judging by the demo, it looks like players will be able to use this seemingly easy in-game tool "with uncompromising depth and capability." Even without any prior knowledge to coding, you'll be able to easily customize intricate maps using pre-defined or completely custom gameplay and edit game logic to make new modes in DOOM.

DOOM is set for release in Spring 2016.
