Double Fine’s new Spacebase DF-9 is on Steam Early Access

Space is crazy. So Double Fine Productions is letting you cash in on colonization for $25.

Spacebase DF-9 is a space-station simulation game in ongoing development on Steam Early Access. (So OK, $25 seems a little high, but this is Double Fine.) It's the player's job to build a home for a motley group of humans and aliens as they try to go about their lives.

I love this description: "Meteor impacts! Explosive decompression! Unbearable loneliness!" Sounds like a wonderful time.

An alpha version is available for PC, Mac, and Linux. A soundtrack is available for a few extra bucks. You can check the official website for blog updates, future development plans, and more.

Space madness would be really cool, for the record.
