Double Fine’s Stacking, Costume Quest, and Psychonauts retail versions coming

Double Fine Productions has regained the publishing and distribution rights to its games Stacking and Costume Quest thanks to Nordic Games, which picked up the intellectual properties when the bankrupt THQ sold off its assets earlier this year.

The two game companies have now partnered up to release retail versions of Double Fine's titles Psychonauts, Stacking, and Costume Quest. PC and Mac versions will be available in North America and Europe in the first half of 2014.

Adventure-puzzle game Stacking and adventure role-playing game Costume Quest have never been available as boxed copies. They released digitally for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and later PCs beginning in 2011 and 2010, respectively. The platforming game Psychonauts launched in 2005 but has since only been sold through digital-distribution services like Steam.
