BioWare has revealed that Dragon Age: Inquisition's chapter in the game series is coming to a close during PAX Prime. The upcoming Trespasser DLC will be the last bit of paid content that the game will receive, and it will ultimately offer a "real conclusion" to Inquisition's story.
Back in July BioWare revealed that all DLC for Inquisition from that point on would be leaving consoles from the last generation behind, and Trespasser will be true to that when it releases sometime next month on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
According to BioWare, Trespasser will resolve one simple question: "What’s it like being in an organization built to save the world after the world has ostensibly been saved?" This is much more complex to solve than you would think — there are tons of decisions in the game that effect countries and characters. Some of your decisions might not even have characters from the first game make an appearance.
"Ultimately, one of the core goals approaching this experience was that you would decide what the final fate of the Inquisition would be," said creative director Mike Laidlaw to Game Informer. "This is our final piece of content for the Inquisition chapter of the Dragon Age world, so it puts it in a unique space. We’re making a commitment that this is an ending, not a DLC slotted somewhere in the story. This is how it finishes."
Trespasser will take place two years after the core game's ending and will only be accessible to players that have a post-game save.
