Studio High Voltage Software, creators of touch-screen shooter The Conduit, are working on a collectible card game (CCG) for Oculus Rift called Dragon Front.
The upcoming CCG will launch in Q2 2016 with 280 characters, 80 encampments and more than 100 spells, all divided into over 250 distinctly Hearthstone-y cards. Dragon Front will also feature competitive leaderboards, allowing different card factions to vie for rule of the game’s 4×4 grid.
“In Dragon Front, players are pitted against each other based on skill level and watch their units come to life on the battlefield as they command the action,” Oculus said of the game. “There’s also a champion system where each team can summon legendary boss units to the fight and turn the battle in their favor.”
High Voltage is targeting 90FPS with Dragon Front, which will feature a full 360-degree stereoscopic view. The studio is also working on another Rift exclusive: Damaged Core, a sci-fi FPS.
The Rift also recently picked up launch title Bank Limit: Advanced Battle Racing, an aptly named combat racer which will launch alongside the headset on March 28.
