Earlier this month we got a detailed look at Dragon Quest XI's characters and gameplay, but a TV special has given us yet another look at the upcoming game.
With the Dragon Quest 30th anniversary upon use, the Japanese network NHK General TV aired a special program that offered a new look at Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time. The gameplay shown off was brief, but it did include some screens that showed off a number or menus.
The gameplay shown off during the livestream revealed the ability to camp to restore both health and mana, crafting, dragon riding and more.
According to a translation from Gematsu, the creation screen offered for players to create the following items (with a list of required items):
- Copper Sword (Seidou no Tsurugi)
- Iron Sword (Tetsu no Tsurugi)
- Silver Rapier (Zan no Rapier)
- Zombie Killer
- Platinum Sword
- Zombie Buster
- Magic Swordsman Rapier (Makenshi no Rapier)
- Fire Sword (Honoo no Tsurugi)
- Metal Slime Sword (Metasura no Tsurugi)
- Miracle Sword Modified (Kiseki no Tsurugi Kai)
- Hayabusa Sword Modified (Hayabusa no Tsurugi Kai)
- Inferno Sword
Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time is set to release for PlayStation 4 and 3DS in 2017 in Japan. A Switch version is also in development.
