Dreamcast remake Pier Solar HD approved on Steam Greenlight

Pier Solar HD, the HD remake of 16-bit role-playing game Pier Solar and the Great Architects, has passed approval on Steam Greenlight.

Developer WaterMelon Co. announced the news on Facebook and its Steam page. PC, Mac, and Linux versions will be available this April, when the game launches.

Pier Solar HD will also be coming to Wii U, PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One — and yes, the Dreamcast. WaterMelon is also looking into a possible 3DS release.

The original Pier Solar and the Great Architects released for the Sega Genesis in 2010. It was the only newly developed game for the console in the new millenium. Pier Solar HD completed a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in December 2012.
