Driveclub devs thank PS4 owners for support, but no news on PS Plus version

Filled with holiday warmth and cheer, Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has taken to their Facebook page to post a heartfelt message thanking fans of their game.

Everyone here at Evolution Studios wants to say thank you for the truly overwhelming level of support from you this year, especially in the time since DRIVECLUB launched in October. Your messages, your feedback, your hot lap videos on YouTube and all of the absolutely amazing screenshots you've shared have all been a huge source of inspiration for the team.

You've all been amazing and we're extremely thankful for your continued support.

Evolution Studios went on to say that they've got "many more" updates in the works for both the servers and for the game. Hopefully the former of the two will address another major problem the studio has faced since Driveclub's launch in October — like the release of the free PlayStation Plus Edition.

Originally supposed to be available alongside the full, retail version, online server issues at launch caused its release to be delayed. While progress has been made, the PS Plus Edition has been officially "on hold" since October. Unfortunately, yesterday's update had no new info regarding the possible release of Driveclub: PS Plus Edition, but our fingers are crossed.

Instead, Evolution Studios reminded owners of the full version of the game to claim all of the free Driveclub downloads from the PlayStation Store. Because of the issues experienced at launch, Sony released November's premium DLC packs for free to those who purchased the full game. As a result of this free giveaway, Evolution Studios will also extend the Driveclub Season Pass to include four extra packs in July 2015. The addition of these new packs in July mean Season Pass holders will still get 38 cars, 176 tour events and 80 unique liveries.

"Thank you all again – we really are uplifted by you on a daily basis. We hope that you all have a great holiday season and we wish you a very Happy New Year!" Evolution Studios concluded.
