Driveclub PS Plus Edition upgrade no longer requires subscription

Sony has once again proved that it is listening to its fans and has reversed its stance on Driveclub: PS Plus Edition.

In a tweet today, PlayStation Europe confirmed that if you have Driveclub: PS Plus Edition and purchase the upgrade to the full version for $49.99, you'll still keep access to the full game even if your PlayStation Plus subscription runs out. Originally, access to the full game would only be unlocked for as long as you have PS Plus despite paying the upgrade fee to unlock everything.

As revealed last month, Driveclub: PS Plus Edition will be released on the same day as the full version. It includes 10 cars and one country which gives you access to five tracks with 11 distinct variants.
