Duke Nukem 3D gets online deathmatch and co-op modes

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, a compilation of the 1996 first-person shooter and its expansions, is now badder than ever.

The game boasts some new features and is currently 60 percent off on Steam — that's only $4. Players can now engage in online deathmatch and cooperative multiplayer modes. They support up to eight players online. Hundreds of user-generated maps are also available through Steam Workshop.

Megaton Edition, which publisher Devolver Digital brought to Steam last March, includes the original classic, the enhanced Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, and three expansion packs. The Atomic Edition introduced new versions and a fourth episode of the game back in November 1996.
