‘Dumb and Dumber 2’ script almost finished

The back and forth of whether or not Dumb and Dumber 2 was happening finally has some clarification. The Farrelly Brothers — Peter and Bobby — tweeted that they are close to finishing the script for Dumb and Dumber To (not a typo).

While they announced in April that they were hoping to begin filming the sequel in the fall, things fell apart. It was reported that Carrey left the film out of frustration with the studios for the project not moving forward. But with this tweet, it seems that a script wasn't finished yet.

With Daniels filming HBO's The Newsroom in November, and Carrey currently filming Kick-Ass 2 in his role of Colonel Stars, it doesn't look like there's going to be any time to film Dumb and Dumber To this fall. Here's hoping they get it done early next year for a mid-to-late 2013 release.
