Dying Light co-op demo available

Explore the Slums with three hours of unique content

With The Following expansion right around the corner, Techland is looking to capture the attention of zombie-lovers with a free demo of the post-apocalyptic, zombie-action, parkour-infused game, Dying Light

A new demo for the critically-acclaimed game has been made available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, offering players a chance to explore the Slums area with more than three hours of unique content, including one story quest chain and a number of side quests, challenges, and random encounters. During the demo, you should experience all of the core gameplay mechanics of Dying Light, such as the day and night cycle, the parkour-based natural movement system, and crafting. The demo also supports online co-op for up to four players.

“With the demand for Dying Light still high after more than half a year on the market, we wondered what else we could do to help players decide which game to buy'," explained producer Tymon SmektaÅ‚a. "Then we thought: demoes were pretty much a standard in the previous generation, but suddenly they’ve become few and far between. So we decided to use some of our resources to release a demo now and let everyone experience our game first-hand.”

Techland is currently working on Dying Light's next major expansion, The Following, which will introduce drivable dirt buggies, a massive new map, and a new progression system. The expansion will be offered to all Season Pass holders for free, and priced at $14.99 for everyone else. You can read our hands-on preview of Dying Light: The Following here.
