Techland has formed a new studio in Vancouver, Canada.

The Polish developer makes zombie series Dead Island and is working on titles like Hellraid and Dying Light, a first-person action survival-horror game coming in 2014. Techland's new studio, Digital Scapes, will create "certain key elements" for Dying Light.

Marcin Chady, the former technical director for Prototype developer Radical Entertainment, will head Digital Scapes Studios. Techland's other development branches are located in Wroclaw and Warsaw, Poland.
