Dynasty Warriors crossover Arslan: The Warriors of Legend coming early 2016

Koei Tecmo is mixing its longstanding Dynasty Warriors franchise with an even older story in the newly announced mash-up, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend.

The game takes its name and narrative from the 1986 novel, The Heroic Legend of Arslan. Just recently, the novel was adapted into the animated series Arslan Senki, which prompted the collaborative project and will serve as the game’s base.

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend pairs the unmistakable gameplay of Dynasty Warriors with the anime’s take on the original story. Adding to the authenticity, all of the game’s character designs will be based on those of the animated series. Interestingly, everything will be done up in a cel-shaded aesthetic.

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend will launch on PS3, PS4 and Xbox One in early 2016.
