E. Honda, Lucia and Poison are inbound to Street Fighter V this week

After a premature leak by a Capcom employee, the Japanese publisher has officially announced that three new characters are coming very soon to their popular fighting game Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Here’s the trailer showing all three in action for you to enjoy!

Capcom had a rough time with their newest mainline Street Fighter entry. Being exclusive to the PS4 and PC hurt the game’s ambition to become an overall huge fighter across all gaming systems. Furthermore, fans weren’t exactly happy with the design of some of the series’ cult characters at launch. A lot has changed for the better however since the game came out in 2016. Not the least, a steady stream of new characters kept fans both happy and giddy, with it culminating in the awesome updated Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition last year.

The publisher was highly likely deep in preparations to announce the introduction of three more characters to the roster of Street Fighter at EVO 2019 later this week. As the largest annual fighting game tournament, publishers have long used the venue to announce news to the fans directly. A quick shot worker at Capcom let the cat out of the bag to early however and the publisher now has no choice other than prematurely unveil the good news.

With E. Honda, a true Street Fighter veteran is making its debut in Street Fighter V. Poison is also returning after her debut in Ultra Street Fighter IV. With Lucia, SFV is getting a never-before seen fighter. She is only known from the 1995 Super Nintendo fighting game Final Fight 3.

All three characters will be available for purchase starting August 5th either separately or together in the Summer 2019 Character Bundle.
