Sony confirmed at its E3 press conference that the PlayStation 4 will require PlayStation Plus to play games online.
The price of PlayStation Plus will stay the same — $49.99 a year — and existing Plus memberships on the PS3 and Vita will be extended to cover the PS4. Even more, PS Plus subscribers will get a copy of the PS4 launch title DriveClub for free as part of the Instant Game Collection. One PS4 title a month will be available to PS Plus members.
Other games confirmed for the Instant Game Collection include Don't Starve, Outlast and Secret Ponchos.
