E3 2014: Assassin’s Creed Unity brings co-op to the French revolution

Assassin’s Creed Unity made its public debut during Microsoft’s E3 press conference today, stunning trailer in tow.

The gameplay reveal features four assassin’s skulking and stabbing in the game’s co-op gameplay as they sift through the French Revolution, Unity’s volatile setting. Unique skills, coordinated attacks and new weapons make Unity a very different Creed, but the biggest change is the emphasis on collaborating with other players.

Cooperative play has gone from a fad to a full-blown movement among games lately, what with Evolve and Destiny singing the graces of playing with friends and now even predominantly single player franchises like Assassin’s Creed jumping on the couch and fighting over controllers.

Assassin’s Creed Unity will hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC October 28.
