E3 2014: Crackdown 3 revealed for Xbox One

Microsoft today announced that a new Crackdown is coming to Xbox One.

The company’s E3 press conference included a trailer for the new title (above), loaded with the humor and nonsensical weapons that the series is known for. Long-time fans have no reason to worry about the game’s direction, either; David Jones, the creator of Crackdown, will be heading the project.

The original Crackdown released in 2007 for Xbox 360 and the series hasn’t been heard from since the release of Crackdown 2 in 2010, so a current-gen revival of the series is a true love letter to fans of the series (including our raving editor-in-chief).
