E3 2014: Eiji Aonuma states Zelda Wii U teaser was gameplay

Many fans' mouths were watering after seeing the very first glimpse of Zelda on the Wii U. And many couldn't even believe that the Wii U was capable of something so gorgeous. And while it was over before it even started, it was enough for fans to get excited about the next Legend of Zelda and the first one on the Wii U.

Fans have stormed over to the Zelda Miiverse in search of answers to their questions regarding the short snippet of the game. Was that Link? Was it a CGI cutscene? Eiji Aonuma took to the Zelda Miiverse in response to many fan questions, and answered one question in particular, regarding the game's trailer shown off.

This was his statement:

Aonuma also stated during the Digital Event that the new Zelda game will be open-world, and allow players to traverse pretty much anywhere they please. And judging from his response above, it looks like the game takes the approach "If you can see, you can go there."

There was no release date nor an official title given to the Wii U Zelda, but we can expect the game to come out sometime in 2015.
