E3 2014: LittleBigPlanet 3 introduces three new characters

Media Molecule surprised us with the debut of LittleBigPlanet 3 for PlayStation 4, and started off their demo with a live gameplay session. This time, it won't just be Sackboy on an adventure, but rather, he will have three new companions along with him, each with their own special abilities.

Oddsock walks on all fours, and is the quickest of the four characters. His speed enables him to activate switches that requires a lot of running. Next is Toggle, the game's biggest and also smallest character (toggle, get it?). His size allows him to push very heavy blocks, but also allow him to shrink down to size and access places normally outside of everyone's reach. Last is Swoop, the bird, who is naturally able to fly and access our of reach areas, as well as carry other characters along with him.

Levels within the game will include depth now, instead of just a simple 2.5D plane, allowing players to jump between wider gaps of foreground and background.

The game is scheduled to come out this Holiday season for the PlayStaion 4.
