Ever since Steam Big Picture and Steam Machines started making a splash in the PC community, gamers have tried to find various solutions to bring their PC gaming experience to the living room big-screen TV. And while there are some great solutions, namely using an Xbox 360 controller, but that also locks out games that aren't playable with a controller like many strategy games. This new keyboard from Roccat might just change that.
The Roccat Sova is aiming to Own the Couch, as the website's tagline states, and it's looking like it might just do that. The Sova is a lightweight, wireless keyboard, that ditches the numpad and arrows, keys rarely used in games nowadays, in place for a sturdy mousepad. Pair the Sova with a wireless mouse, and you have an elegant solution for low latency, wireless gaming for your couch.
“Sova is the option for gamers wishing to expand their arena without sacrificing gaming experience,” says René Korte, ROCCAT founder and CEO. “Platforms like Steam are fantastic, but the experience can be devalued by the lack of adequate gaming equipment. Gamers who wish to stream PC games to a living room television will no longer need to put up with latency issues and can now experience couch gaming at its fullest.”
