For the second year in a row, Nintendo will be ditching the traditional E3 press conference in favor of a much simpler Digital Event. But while their showing will lack the spectacle of a huge press briefing, it surely won't lack excitement as the company promised to reveal all sorts of new Nintendo games and debuts.
Last year, Nintendo skipped out on the excitement of E3, instead offering a special E3-focused Nintendo Direct. Nintendo says it will be building on that approach with E3 2014, calling the Nintendo Digital Event "a new kind of program that will reveal and provide further detail about the gaming experiences on the way for Nintendo platforms in 2014 and beyond."
The Nintendo Digital Event will air at 9:00am PT on Tuesday, June 10. Nintendo justified its decision to forgo E3 for a second year in a row, by claiming their digital videos to be "the best way to show its games and share its news with fans, media, and other key audiences." Do you agree?
