E3 2016: ABZÛ finds its release date this August, new trailer revealed

505 Games new game, ABZU has finally received its official release date, the game is set to launch this Summer on August 2 for PS4 and PC.

In addition to the good news, 505 also released a new trailer showcases some of the visuals of key moments in the game, check it out above.

ABZÛ is an epic descent into the depths of the sea where players explore beautifully rendered ocean environments with fluid swimming controls. In ABZÛ, the user embarks on a nonviolent, 3rd person adventure with no fail states so users can’t die. They can only explore and discover new things about the underwater world as they progress along the emotional spectrum of the game.

I recently got a chance to play ABZU at PAX East where it very quickly shocked me. I didn’t think too much about the game then my 15-minute demo totally had me sold, here's what I had to say:

ABZU — a game I really never paid much attention to — is now one of my most interested games of 2016. Abzu feels like it is more than people peg it to be and for the people who do decide to stick with it, they will probably be happy they did.

ABZU is set to launch for PS4 and PC on August 2.
