E3 2016: Crackdown set to release in 2017,”committed to delivering the best experience”

Creative Director of Reagent Games, Dave Jones, has made a statement on the highly anticipated Crackdown 3 game, and why they didn’t show anything at this year's E3 presser.

It seems like Reagent Games wanted to hold off on showing the game, as they want to bring the "best experience" they could and that wouldn’t be possible if they stuck to the timeline they were on. Jones went on to say that Crackdown 3 will be coming sometime in 2017 and it will be part of the new Play Anywhere program, so players will have the option to play on either Xbox One or PC via Windows 10.

Crackdown 3 is a game built for the future with a multiplayer experience that will redefine what it feels like to play games, and as we continue to work on this, it has become clear that our original timeline of delivering multiplayer to fans this summer, while maintaining the size, scope and quality of the game, would be challenging. Our top priority is to give gamers an experience they have never seen before at a scale never thought possible, and sticking to our original timeline would have compromised that goal.

The Xbox conference has just finished and there was plenty of great new games shown off, surprise announcements, and hardware upgrades, to catch up on everything you might have missed, click here right here to get all your Xbox news.
