E3 2016: Mass Effect: Andromeda protagonist’s last name confirmed by producer

Mass Effect: Andromeda received a new trailer yesterday at the EA Play press conference, but sadly there wasn’t much detail about the highly anticipated title.

However, one of BioWare's developer who is working on Mass Effect, Michael Gamble, did confirm the lead protagonist's last name. Instead of playing a character under the name of Shepard, this time around players will be going under as ____ Ryder.

Mass Effect Andromeda will be powered by Frostbite and feature an all-new cast of characters. In this game, you are the alien waking up in an entirely new galaxy. The mission given to players in Andromeda is to build a new home for humanity and Ryder will be leading the charge.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is still without a release date, but they did mention we would hear more about the game this Fall. Andromeda will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
