E3 2016: Microsoft confirms next Xbox console, codenamed Project Scorpio

"No one gets left behind."

After countless rumors of a new more powerful Xbox One, Microsoft has officially confirmed the next Xbox One, code named Project Scorpio. This new powerful Xbox console will feature eight cores, six teraflops, 320GB/s memory bandwidth, 4K/VR gaming, backwards compatibility, and will be available in 2017.

This console will be so powerful that it will feature true 4K visuals and VR quality that isn't sacrificed in any way.

Additionally, all Xbox One games and accessories will be usable on Project Scorpio – that means that when this bad boy releases, you won't need to buy new hardware to play with. Oh, and yes, it will have backwards and forwards compatibility.

If this isn't your jam, you can always check out the Xbox One S.
