E3 2016: Microsoft shows off colossal sized Final Fantasy XV gameplay

Final Fantasy XV Game Director, Hajime Tabata took to the stage at Microsoft's E3 2016 Press Conference to deliver a brand new, never before seen gameplay demo called Trial of Titan. It featured Noctis taking on presumably the long time Final Fantasy guardian, Titan by himself at the outset. The text on the screen indicated that this was a special E3 mission, so it's unclear if this is part of the main game, or simply a demo not unlike the Platinum Demo that released after Final Fantasy Uncovered.

Eventually Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto join up to help Noctis, but again it is unclear as to the reason for their absence. It is here that we see glimpses of the companion mechanics that have been a big part of the game since Episode Duscae.

This is the first time that Final Fantasy XV has been presented at a Microsoft E3 Press Conference, so it seems that Square Enix felt it was prudent to appeal to Xbox One owners this soon before release. We will be seeing more from Final Fantasy XV at tonight's Active Time Report, so stay tuned to GameZone.com for more details.
