E3 2016: Nintendo unveils Ever Oasis for 3DS

It's Egyptian Zelda with cute things

Today. Nintendo announced Ever Oasis, a new IP for the 3DS, brought to you by Grezzo. That name should sound familiar to Nintendo fans: Grezzo is the developer that made Ocarina of Time 3D and Majora's Mask 3D, the definitive versions of those legendary games. The improvements made were astounding, cutting a lot of frustration from Majora's Mask 3D in particular. I've long said they should be turned loose to make their own game for Nintendo instead of remakes/remasters, and now they have.

Right off the bat you'll notice two things: The similarities between 3D Zelda games, and the almost stifling cuteness. Given their pedigree, a Zelda-like adventure RPG is the most logical choice. The game has familiar combat and puzzle-filled dungeons to explore, but it brings its own touches to the formula as well. For example, players will build their own towns and find loot to stock their new "Bloom Booths." Players can also form three man parties with NPCs they encounter, switching freely between them to take on various puzzles. Don't worry, it looks infinitely better than Tri Force Heroes did in single-player.

As for the stifling cuteness? Just watch the trailer:
